A favourite story

One story I like from Joy Cowley, is a book called "Road Robber". This tells the story of a giant who stole roads and sold them to make lots of money. He rolled them up like carpet and ran away with them. One night the road robber stole Strawberry Road from the town. Everyone liked Strawberry Road and set off to get their road back. The people grabbed their road and carried it back to town.
What was the road robber using the road for?
How did they stop the giant from stealing it again?

The Joy Cowley story that I read was 'Grizzly and the Bumble Bee'. It is about when Grizzly gets stung by a bee and is calling out to the people.

My favourite book by Joy Cowley is 'The Pirate'. In the story two kids went to their treehouse. The boy did not know that the girl was following him. When the girl got in the treehouse the boy tried to push her off. He growled at her.

My favourite book written by Joy Cowley is 'The Ha-Ha Powder'. The best part is when the people laugh. It is a funny story.

My favourite Joy Cowley story is 'Cat's Party'. The cat invited a bird, chicken, mouse. lizard and a rabbit to a party. Dog said "I will come" but cat said "Forget it!" because cats don't like dogs!

I like 'I'm Glad To Say' because it is a funny book and it is also a good book as well. It's about a man who has good luck and bad luck!

I chose 'Little Yellow Chicken' by Joy Cowley because I wanted to see what was inside it. Then I read it. It was a good story. Little Yellow Chicken was asking his friends to help him do the shopping but they said, no. Then he asked his friends to help him do the cooking but they said, no. Then he asked his friends to help him set the table and they said, no!

I read 'Duck and Hen' by Joy Cowley. This story is my favourite Joy Cowley book. It is about a duck and a hen. The hen can't swim and the duck can't dig up the dirt like the hen.

My favourite Joy Cowley story is 'The Terrible Tiger'. Two little children are going on a hunt for the Terrible Tiger. The children went over a hill and under a log and then they saw a tail - a striped tail!

I read 'Hairy Bear' by Joy Cowley. It is about when mummy bear woke up and heard a noise in the middle of the night. She found it was the kids looking for food and they made a big mess.

My favourite Joy Cowley story is 'Ratty Tatty'. Ratty Tatty was so clever the adults could not catch her. She tricked the adults. She got a fork and put it in the rat trip.
